Libs of Tik Toc Helps Expose a Questionable City Clerk in My Michigan Hometown Before This Nov Election
In the 2024 election cycle, one of the key phrases that you'll hear, and rightfully so, is the term "election integrity." Now, most people will mistakenly think that when that term is used, it is by a Trump supporter complaining about the results of the 2020 election.
However, that's not exactly the case here.
If you'll recall, Hillary Clinton made a huge stink after she and the campaign that she was leading goofed up and lost the presidential election to Donald Trump in 2016. All she had to do was keep Michigan and Pennsylvania in her column like Barack Obama had in 2008 and 2012 — and of course the state of Wisconsin, which she never even visited after she secured the nomination that year.
Hillary immediately started complaining that the Russians had interfered, and the whole Russia Russia Russiagate mess started, which threw into doubt the fairness of the election. Of course, the Mueller Report showed that there was no proof that the Trump campaign was in cahoots with the Russians in any way, shape, or form, but the press had no problem spreading those rumors throughout the four years of Trump's first term.
So, whether elections are being treated fairly has been contentious longer than most people in the press will admit. To say that just the people who support Donald Trump are whining about the last election is nonsense.
However, you do need proof beyond a reasonable doubt to show that it's not just your feelings that have been hurt by the loss in a race by a politician; you need a bit more than that. I have been dinged many times for demanding a bit more here in the blue state of Michigan, which Donald Trump lost in 2020. I get super weary when people just go on cruise control and think Trump will win because they like him, and so do their neighbors, and so that is enough for them.
Michigan is a blue state but there's a chance for Trump to win again here like he did in 2016. The Dems will play games, though, to lull the GOP types to sleep, as I wrote about here a bit ago.
Gov Whitmer Tells a Bit of a Fib About Michigan NOT Being a Blue State
“No! Michigan’s not a blue state,” Gov. Gretchen Whitmer recently told the New York Times.
She added, “It would be a mistake for anyone to look at that and think Michigan is not still a tossup, very competitive, very diverse state that’s going to decide the outcome of the next national election again.”
Democrats that the NYT interviewed said their power comes thanks to changing demographics in the state but also from Republicans who think their party has gone too far to the right since the rise of Donald Trump. The Michigan GOP is now helmed by Kristina Karamo, the former state attorney general candidate who has promoted conspiracy theories such as claiming the results of the 2020 election were “a fraudulent process” and refused to concede.
“The state Republican Party is not reflective of the average Republican in Michigan,” Whitmer said. “I don’t think that everyone’s all of a sudden become Democrats.”
The Governor’s statement and her flawed logic on why she believes in Michigan is NOT a blue state are a stinking pile of garbage that people living in and around the Great Lakes can smell on a clear calm day. I noted some of these reasons in my article above about why Michigan is a blue state and here are just a few of the reasons why.
Michigan has not elected a conservative as Governor since 1998. People may try to contend that Rick Snyder, who was elected in 2010, was a Republican but he supported many ideas that Progressive Democrats embrace.
The Great Lake state has not elected a Republican to the United States Senate since 1994. For those of you who had to suffer through public schools such as myself, next year will be 30 years since a statewide Republican was sent to the halls of the United States Congress to sit in the Senate.
Former President Donald Trump barely won Michigan in 2016 by 11,000 votes. Up until he barely squeaked out that victory, the state had not voted for a Republican for President since 1988 with George H.W. Bush.
Michigan is a blue state, it votes like a blue state, it acts like a blue state and people are leaving because it is a blue state.
Now, there's some controversy about a fella who is a city clerk in my hometown who was just hired this past spring and has made a bit of a splash not only in this small town of less than 15,000 people but nationally with the help of Project Veritas and Libs of TikTok.
The new city clerk of the city of Fraser, August Gitschlag, is a pretty interesting fellow. If you are into learning about how to commit fraud in an election with the "F***ing Pollocks" or the "F***ing Bosnians" (his terms, not mine).
Just plain old election fraud explained by someone who has worked elections most of his adult life.
Oh look… here’s August explaining how to do voter fraud. Nothing to see here! 🚩pic.twitter.com/Lt1f4Sj69r https://t.co/CJMDRzrIM3

He sounds like a peach, doesn't he?
Believe it or not, he is NOT a fan of Donald Trump or his voters.
See: Nazi Shoe
This city is run by people who think calling taxpayer money "grants" is a good political move and who cut cops to build parks; hiring a guy like this is a bit of a no-brainer move, I guess. Someone on video admitting how to intimidate voters and who has a left-leaning background that borders on "icky" is normal for the folks here, from what I have seen.
I have emailed the city manager and the clerk to get a comment on his posting.
Of course, I have not heard back yet, but I will follow up with this. I might even thoroughly enjoy the throwing one under the bus actions of a council that did not take the time to Google that they were hiring someone who might offend over half the people in the city who voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020.
Election integrity is serious.
People getting paid by the taxpayers to run elections down at city hall should take it seriously, too.
